I want to share something about me and how I work.
Photography has never been about creating pretty pictures for me. It’s about paying attention. Paying attention to the things most people don’t realize they’re going to miss someday. The way your family exists together right now, before life changes again.
I don’t approach this as a transaction. I approach it as a responsibility. Because years from now, when the kids are grown, the house is different, and this season has passed, these photographs will be one of the few things capable of bringing you back. That’s not something I take lightly.
I believe photographs become more valuable with time. Not because they’re perfect, but because the people in them change. What feels ordinary today eventually becomes part of your history.
That’s why I care less about perfect behavior and more about preserving what is real. My job isn’t to manufacture moments. It’s to recognize them while they’re happening and preserve them before they’re gone. That’s the work.
